PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Operations Manager, while in constant communication with the General Manager, is responsible for the overall success and management of our residential and commercial HVAC & Plumbing service center. Our Ops Managers plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control service center activities and functions to achieve revenue goals and objectives while maintaining a strong customer focus, leveraging the brand, and driving employee engagement in a rapidly changing and highly competitive business environment.
  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assuming partial operational responsibility for profit and loss related activities.

• Establishing a team culture among service center personnel and holding the team to a high standard of customer satisfaction.

• Consistently administering company policies and procedures throughout the service center.

• Monitoring and maintaining job satisfaction among personnel by completing annual performance evaluations and salary reviews in a thorough and timely manner.

• Preparing business forecasts, budgets, and other reports in addition to monitoring the timely flow of paperwork necessary to the service center.

• Assist in recruiting, selecting, and training all service center employees.

• Financial analysis to identify trends and prospective problem areas and taking immediate action based on findings.

• Optimizing the service center to provide service, complete tasks, and otherwise perform in an efficient manner.

• Developing new programs and executing established plans to meet and exceed sales goals.

• Maintaining a working knowledge of competitors, developing innovations to maintain market lead, sharing best practices across organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS):
• Minimum of 10 years leading teams servicing Business to Consumer & B2B customer markets.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience successfully leading a fast-paced service organization and a proven track record of growing a business.

• Bachelor’s degree required and 4 to 6 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.

• Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives.

• Strong interpersonal/communication skills. (Oral and written)

Provides planning and management to the warehouse operation to ensure the proper flow of parts and materials from vendor to warehouse to service locations. Utilizes human resources effectively to manage workload, achieve service and cost objectives in supporting material needs and provide efficient warehousing operations.

•Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles.

•Checks inventory for reorder needs and places orders with appropriate vendors. Negotiates with vendors and suppliers for best price on quality products.

•Stays in touch with installation crews to assist with unexpected needs. Ensures that required materials are filled and delivered. Schedules deliveries.

•Supplies parts pricing information to technicians as needed for job costing.

•Ensures that documentation and returns of overstocks and warranted parts and materials are handled appropriately to ensure receipt of credits. Follows-up on credit postings.

•Reviews and approves completed vehicle logs to ensure maintenance needs of service vehicles are met. Coordinates with Safety Coordinator, as needed.

•Supervises physical inventory counts performed during scheduled inventories.

•Coordinates the pulling of inventories and load-outs to ensure that technicians have all of the required items to complete the assigned work.

•Maintains vendor relationships to assure quality service and competitive pricing.

•Oversees the stocking of service vehicles.

•Assists the warehouse staff in troubleshooting problems.

•Operates a forklift tractor and receives/checks deliveries of parts and equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY:


Plans, directs, and coordinates human resources functions such as recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. Collects, analyzes, and interprets human resources data. ARS Rescue Rooter of Laurel, MD has a UNIQUE opportunity for an experienced retail sales rep to join our growing team as our Ambassador at our Randallstown retail location!

WE WILL TRAIN YOU on the HVAC part, you just need to come with the SALES and PEOPLE SKILLS!

The ideal candidate would represents the company as a marketing agent of Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, services, packages and promotions at a major retail outlet that we’ve partnered with by providing first contact with potential customers, providing information on HVAC products and services, and coordinating the appointment process with the office. The person we select should be outgoing, and not afraid to approach customers. 

IMPORTANT – All Retail Associates are REQUIRED to work weekends! This would require you to work a total of 18 hours between Friday and Sunday each week. It is however a FLEXIBLE schedule so you create the hours that work best for you during this time. Thursday at 9am is also a REQUIRED Sales Meeting time at the Laurel, MD Service Center. 

WORK LOCATIONS – ARS Rescue Rooter is located at 9010 Maier Road, Suite 105 Laurel, MD 20723. This is where you will interview and attend weekly sales meetings. The physical retail location is in Randallstown, but additional hours would be available if you could also cover Dundalk and Lansdowne locations periodically. 

INTERVIEW – We will be interviewing each Monday and Thursday @ ARS Rescue Rooter of Laurel, MD @ 1:00 PM. Please apply to RSVP as we need to complete an Assessment before conducting an actual interview.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

♦ Solicits potential customers regarding heating and cooling products and services.

♦ Provides information to customers to help them in their purchasing decisions for Company products and services.

 ♦ Accurately and timely processes lead sheets and all other appropriate paperwork as required.

♦ Communicates with Sales Representative and/or Program Manager daily regarding leads generated.

♦ Attends all training programs as required. Mandatory Sales Meeting every Thursday at 9am

♦ Effectively communicates with potential customers utilizing superior communication skills and customer relation skills.

♦ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

♦ Maintains table/booth with information regarding Company products and services.

♦ Follows the guidelines for the Senior Care, Ethics, and Quality Assurance Process.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School diploma, or GED equivalent
  • Prior sales and/or retail experience is required, minimum of 3 years
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and selling skills are required
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends with minimal supervision is also required
  • This job requires the ability to read and interpret training material
  • Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • HVAC EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY, we will train the right person!
